Macrostomum tuba

Macrostomum tuba, a new record of China, was found to distribute in the fresh water areas of Wuhu City of Anhui Province (33° 67'N, 118°40'E) , Shantou City of Guangdong Province (23° 44'N, 116° 56'E), Shaoguan City of Guangdong Province (24° 67'N, 113°01'E) and Xiamen City of Fujian Province (24° 46'N, 118° 18'E). Its biological characteristics, methods of feeding and reproduction were introduced. Its morphological structure was described under microscope. The results indicated that Macrostomum tuba is an ideal experimental material for the study of animal evolution.
